I’m hopelessly inquisitive about food – always wondering what everyone else is eating; prone to turning awkward silences into questions of ‘What’s for dinner?’
I relish the challenge of new ingredients, love finding unusual recipes, and creating meals with produce at hand. I’m essentially a lover of fruit, vegetables and the changing seasons.
I am often found in our long, narrow urban backyard growing vegies in a haphazard way, and watching the fruit ripen on our fruit trees. Whenever I can, I coax our two young children into the sunshine with me.
I’ve written stories and recipes for The Age’s ‘Epicure’, Slow Living magazine and Inside Out magazine, among others. I am also a freelance recipe book editor.
Katherine Bird, Leah Holscher and I created The Hungry Girls’ Cookbooks – small, handmade books full of love, which are available here.
